Private George Godfrey 466108 CEF 5th Battalion Loyal Edmonton Regiment.

George was my great grandad, he emigrated to Canada living in Penetanguishine before moving to Edmonton, living at 56th street, died 26/09/1916.

His wife had died in 1915 and his children, although born in Canada were sent back to England to live with relatives. He is commemorated at Vimy Memorial and at 2 churches in Halifax England.
