Join us for another ECAMP Momentary Museum, a pop-up experience where everyday objects become Edmonton history, and where the perspectives that don’t always make it onto the plaques take centre stage.
At our next momentary Museum we’re asking
How do our senses help us learn about our city’s history?
How can sensing differently create greater understanding, connection, and belonging?
We want you to tell us about how touch, sound, smell, and movement connect us (or don’t) to the places we call home.
We especially want objects that tell stories shaped by disability, access, and lived experience.
Not sure what to bring?
Try an old photo, or a tricked out mobility aid , a ticket stub from that epic Edmonton concert… anything that tells a story through sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch.
Everyone is welcome. All ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. We especially invite folks who’ve experienced disability to join in.
We’ll provide everything you need – from display pedestals to artifact labels – to showcase your item in a professional museum setting.
You’ll get some help from our expert Exhibits Coordinator, Marina Hulzenga. You’ll also hear from our History Researcher Craig Farkash. All objects are returned at the end of the event.
ASL interpretation will be provided.
We aim to make Momentary Museum welcoming and accessible. If you have accommodation needs or questions about access, please contact us in advance at ecamp@edmontonheritage.ca, and we’ll do our best to support your participation.
